Discover Panukulan, Quezon's uncharted beauty, breath-taking landscapes, note-worthy seafood delicacies, and the quaint island life on this thrilling bike journey.

Daily trip schedules of Dinahican Port / Libjo Beach to Port Of Panukulan and vice versa. Highly recommended to be at least an hour before departure.

  2. Ferries dock either at Dinahican Port or Libjo Beach with regard to sea/port conditions. We will announce on September 28, 2022 on which port.

ROUTE

Approximately 90% trail and1,176 meters total elevation gain. The route runs on fire roads, rolling hills, steep climbs, and fast descents. Expect muddy sections during rain. You will also cross 2 rivers via boat. 

Note: Kindly allow slight variations on actual distance of aid stations. Race director and organizers have the right to change the route at any time.

 



GUN START

4:00 AM, October 1 2022. For 50 KM & 80 KM Category

CUT OFF TIME

80 KMS - 14 Hours, 6:00 PM
50 KMS - 10 Hours, 2:00 PM

AID STATIONS:

Update: There will be four (4) Aid Stations along the race course for 50 KM, and five (5) aid stations for 80 KM

TRANSPORTATION:

Dinahican Port in Infanta, Quezon is the port of origin. You park your vehicles at Dinahican Port and other designated parking areas. Sea transfer to Panukulan Port will be provided. Please stay posted for the schedule.

MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS:

A. Medical Certificate is required. NO MED CERT, NO RACE. Medical certificate should INDICATE THAT YOU ARE FIT TO RIDE 50 KM or 80 KM DISTANCE, and that you are in good health. (Vaccination cards will not be considered as medical certificate)

LGU HEALTH OFFICE REQUIREMENTS:

A. Update: No need for health declaration form and acceptance letter from LGU. 

B. Always wear a face mask and observe physical distancing at the venue.

BIKE RESTRICTIONS

There will be no restrictions on bikes and bike modifications for the Brusko Hook Bay Race 2022. Only E-BIKES or E-MTB's WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.

NOTE: There will be no separate categories for different types of bikes.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT:

Present all the mandatory equipment before staging. THOSE WITH INCOMPLETE EQUIPMENT will not be allowed to start.

A. Helmet - No helmet, no ride.

B. Hydration Bottles / Hydration - there will be no paper cups at aid stations. Bring your own bottle. Carry enough hydration until the next station

C. Trail Food - While snacks and meals (at selected checkpoints only) will be available, you will need to bring enough calories to get you across checkpoints. Do not throw your trash along the race course. This is grounds for DISQUALIFICATION.

D. Bike Tools - maintenance and safe riding condition of the bicycles is the responsibility of the participant. However, should there be any unforseen bicycle malfunction, having the basic bike tools might just get you through. 

E. Emergency Money - Bring at least, 1,000 for 75 KMS/30 KMS, and 1,500 for 100 KMS/160 KMS, as an emergency money should there be any reason the participant cannot continue. This is payment for private extraction vehicles like single motorcycle or habal-habal, or by boat, should you wish to be extracted immediately. NOTE: Extraction automatically disqualifies you to the race. Report immediately to a race marshall or the timing official that you are declaring DNF. You are also not entitled for a finisher medal.

F. Front & Rear Bike Lights - Gun Start will be at 4:00 AM. Stay visible for your safety and for the safety of fellow riders. It will also be difficult to navigate the race course in the dark. 

G. Mobile Phone - Phone signal is difficult once inside the race course, but there are some spots where signal is available, in case you need to call in an emergency situation.

H. First Aid Kit - while emergency response teams will be available on race day, getting to you immediately may take some time. It may include: gauze, band aids, triangle bandage, medical tape, alcohol, antibiotic ointment, paracetamol, anti-histamine, pain relievers, or liniments.

50 KM - ₱800.00
80 KM - ₱900.00

Both registration fees include, (a) event shirt, (b) medal [for finishers within cut-off time only], (c) post-race meal, (d) race bib, (e) bike tag (f) accident insurance (g) 20% discount on Sandugo when you shop online.

HELMET & CLOTHING

All participants must wear helmets while riding. Participants who fail to comply will be flagged down and asked to wear their helmets properly. Frequent violation of the participant may lead to disqualification.

Race bibs must be worn properly and must be visible at all times. Race numbers for handle bars / drop bars will also be provided and should be properly displayed at all times.

Participants are not allowed to change bib numbers nor complete the race in their behalf.

Wearing closed shoes is highly recommended, but not mandatory.

 

XII. RACE CONDUCT / RULING / ENVIRONMENTAL

Participants must present themselves in a sportsmanlike and good character.

Participants must not use offensive or abusive language during the race, act in an unsporting manner, be disrespectful to the officials, or ignore the race regulations. Race director, officials, and organizers may disqualify participants who fail to conduct themselves properly.

Intentional contact by pushing, pulling, or other means which causes another competitor to slow down, fall, or exit the course is not allowed and results in disqualification.

Participants must respect the countryside, its locals, and its customs.
Riders must be present at the starting/staging area before the race.  Attendance of race safety briefing is also a must.


Participants must complete the entire distance of the race, and the responsibility for following the official route lies with the participant. Cutting corners and taking short cuts that lead to an unfair advantage are considered illegal and will lead to disqualification.

Unnecessary damage to the environment and littering will not be tolerated. Observe leave no trace principle.

WITHDRAWAL

Any participant who cannot continue for whichever reason must immediately inform Race Officials. Race Officials will require you to surrender your race bib.

Participants who are given a Did Not Start (DNS), Did Not Finish (DNF), or Disqualified (DSQ) are not entitled to a finisher’s medal and will not be included in the standing.

Participants who will take/hire motorized vehicle transportation assistance during their race run will be disqualified from the race. Race bibs will be confiscated by the race official.

DISQUALIFICATION 

Participants may be disqualified at the discretion of the race officials for any one or more of the following reasons including but not limited to:

  1. Not wearing a helmet
  2. Littering
  3. Damage to environment
  4. Unsportsmanlike conduct
  5. Disrespect to race officials
  6. Conduct violations
